My lady does not like the vibration of my Evo Softail when I cruise on the highway
(posted speed 75mph/ drivers speed 85-90mph/ my speed 80-85mph.)
She does not enjoy it really at any speed over 60mph.
I am looking for the smoothest ride 2 up @ 80mph.
My options are:
1) 107 Milwaukee 8 Heritage Softail
2) 103 Twin CamB Softail
3) 103 Twin Cam Lowrider
Question:
1) Which Softail is smoother at 80mph 103 Twin CamB or the 107 Milwaukee 8?
2) Which is smoother at 80mph the smoother Softail or the 103 Twin Cam Dyna?
I have even considered a Polaris/ Indian Chief... I know blasphemous on a Harley forum.
I would wait on the M8 till Harley gets All the bugs worked out. You would hate to be a few hundred miles from home and the M8 takes a sump on you out in the middle of nowhere. I would at least look at a 103 Road King if I was in your shoes. other than that I would try to find a Dyna Super Glide Custom in a 103. and the Dyna Low Rider last. However big papa AZ has the best answer so far. Now to answer question #2 the 103 B doesn't really vibrate it buzzes a Dyna shakes like a dog crapping a peach seed at a red light and smooths out at hi way speed where as the Softail is smooth at the red light and buzzes at hi way speed.
