Default Rocker Lockers

I just got a pre owned 2015 Road King with a 103. It has 22K on it.
My first instinct was I got a beat motor. The ticking drives me insane. Every time I take it out at some point in the ride I think to myself "this guy must have killed this motor" But the general consensus is its normal due to HD cutting corners and using a smaller bolt than they should have to lock in the rocker shaft. My riding buddies cant hear the ticking and think I'm crazy but it's there. I feel like I'm damaging the motor just by running it.

Anyone have ant input on installing Rocker Lockers?
I've never pulled an engine apart but it seems pretty straight forward.

There’s some pretty long threads on here about them and the install. John from Rockout is a member here and I’m sure can help out if needed. Biggest thing that I can say is to get a service manual if you don’t have one.

As I replied in yer other thread, my go to for top end noise is Rockouts. I have no experience with Rocker Lockers, but I've found that Rockouts are inexpensive, easy to install, and in all five cases that I've installed them, have solved the problem. Additionally, the proprietor of Rockouts is active on this forum, and not just for issues involving his products.

That's not to say that they will work in all cases. All Harley engines are just a little different from.others, and sometimes, try as you might, ya just can't get a noise out of an engine.

But I'd give the Rockouts a try for certain.

If I knew the guy from Rockout was a member I would have referenced them instead. I did a search and they both came up so I picked one. I'll pick up a service manual.

Did you change the oil or running what it had when you bought it?

The FSM is an excellent investment, OP...although it doesn't reference your particular problem, it does tell you how to access the rocker assembly and reassemble it all.
