I'm in the market for a new Road King. With this latest press release do you think I should hold off a bit? Any rumors about when HD will be redoing their touring chassis?
If history is any help, then you will have to wait a year or more for them to get the kinks and bugs worked out of the chassis, and whatever else they have changed.
At this point I would wait unless you find some screaming good deal on a new 17-18. I'm not very impressed with the ride quality on my RG at all. Even after installing Ohlin shocks it still leaves a lot to be desired. The current frame is now 10 years old and I've been hearing rumors for several years of a new touring frame. Certainly something to combine more manufacturing into one plant is in the works.
I heard wrong thinking he mentioned new touring products but interesting nonetheless
