I buy a spray can of vht ceramic paint and do my exhaust yearly. Not sure about the chrome though my exhaust started black. I give it a light sandblast then paint.
i've researched this quite a bit and talked to a couple of people who have done it on a bike or a Hot Rod. For my pipes its about $300. I don't recall how much it reduces the heat, that's what I'm after, but I was told when you shut down the bike you can touch the pipes within a couple of minutes.
For my bike I'd like to have blue ceramic done to the pipes. Below is a photoshop mockup of what I hope it looks like.
Just wondering if anyone has got this done on their bike.. How it holds up on chrome and high heat areas.
I have been wondering the same thing. I am in West Texas and Dallas is the closest place to me that does it. I would just like it on the paint for starters.
If you do a search on "engine coatings" you will be in for an education.
Ceramic is really great for piston tops with molly skirts, IF that is what you are talking about.
If you mean show and glow crap-I have no clue
