Handle bar controls not fully working with wireless headset

2016 harley street glide with boom audio and whim. I paired my HD 30k wireless headset and things seem to work while using the headset but if I listen to music with my radio speakers I can't control volume at the handle bars. I have to go in to settings. I also can move to the next song. It wont let me do it through the headset either. If I turn the headset off then it works correctly at the handle bars. I have updated software and it still does the same thing. Not sure if this is how it should be...if so I think I have a different definition for completely integrated.

No help here. I can live without music and such. I like listening to just the motor and sounds around me. The tunes/weather is nice to have at times though.
