2020 Rumor Thread
Since we're a few weeks away from the release for the 2020 MY (aug 20-21) let's try to group in a single thread all the rumors that we've been hearing.
I'm going to start with all I've heard/read, please, refrain from making jokes ("vivid black will return") as we are trying to group the information.
1- A Sportster family whole overhaul (and I've heard they're in doubt of keeping the Sportster name)
2- Dropping M-8 107 in favor of M-8 114.
3- Touring line receiving a new monoshock frame
4- No more "Ultra" touring models....it will only exist the "Limited" trim - RGU would be transitioned to RG Limited
5- Heritage Classic becoming chromed again
6- A new "standard" touring model to take the place of both EG Standard and RK (you would be able to choose the batwing or a windshield....detachable??)
7- Street family would be dropped all along
And the obvious one is the release of the 1st bike of the upcoming Electric Family with the LiveWire.
Did anyone hear something more or different??

You are missing the Adventure Bike, the Pan American, As well as the Street Fighter, which may be called the Bronx or the Bare Knuckle.
I don't think the Sportster is dead for 2020, but it's time is limited.
Based on the lack of marketing of the Street I would say it's time is limited as well, especially with the talk of the new modular engines coming out.

The Cruiser as 2021 release, probably for 2022 MY.
This' what I understood from the More Roads presentation (and dealer meeting presentation) a year ago.

Just think that the engine is essentially the same from 1986 with some upgrades over the years....but still an 80's engine.
And if you give a major thinking, the last time the Sportster family received a "major" overhaul was in 2004 when it received the new frame and rubber mounts.

The Pan-America and Streetfighter are for 2020 release, which would mean as a release in Dealer Convention 2020 as MY 2021

My wife complains about that too.
