Question Single Garage - Storage?

Hi!

Anyone have a good idea or ideas how to easily store both a sportster and a small car in a single car garage?
6Mx3M.

Currently storing the bike upright on a wheel chock and after squeezing in past the car. Wondering if anyone has some ingenious idea.
What do you guys do?

Thanks

I get two cars and a Heritage in my two car garage. The bike parks 90° to my small car, up against the back wall. To get the bike in and out I have to move the big car to the driveway.

I do the same thing except during the riding season, when I park the bike behind the small car. I find it’s easier to move the bike from one side to the other to get the car out than it is to move the car to get the bike out.

This year I find I’m using the car maybe once or twice a week and am riding the bike for all other purposes. This is the first year I’ve put more miles on the bike than I have on the car.

My neighbor has a jeep and RK in a single car garage. He parks the jeep as far to one side as possible and parks the RK next to it.

Yeah, pretty much what I am doing at the moment. Was just thinking there might be some ingenious idea that I haven't thought of

A hoist in the attic to lift the bike above the car.

Maybe a hydraulic lift for the car then you would have the whole floor for even more bikes.

I’ve tried everything sideways, frontways, alongside. Finally bit the bullet and send it to the dealer to store. Yes it costs but I put a little amount of money away each month and it pays for itself. Yes I can’t ride if we have a nice day but I’ll deal with it.

Before putting a 12X20 shed out back, I had the same problem. I recollect looking at an ad for a rather unique bike lift that raised it to sit about 4 ft high, allowing a car/pickup to park beneath it.

i couldn’t sleep with the image of half a ton poised above our Buick, so the solution was to maintain the status quo and park her car outside...guess how fast the shed won approval?
