Default I'm Bored!

Well, not exactly bored. I've just run out of things I want to do to my 1976 Electra Glide. It's largely restored-rebuilt motor, fresh paint, NOS wiring harness, etc. Any deviations from stock are reversible with parts on hand. It runs great, but I want a new project! Recently, I've been thinking EVO Wide-Glide. I'm tall so mid controls don't cut it for me. Anything I need to know when looking for one? Here is the shovel....

Beautiful bike. Since you probably are like me and going to completely through the bike, I can find one as stock as you can and modify to your hearts content. Again, great job on the restoration project.

Nice Shovel, I would look for a ‘92 or newer.

OP--Nice looking machine!
This pic really brings back some memories.
I bought a new '75 FLH Electra-Glide(Blue & White) then traded it in on a '76 FXE Super-Glide (beer-bottle brown, later changed to back).

I bought a used '87 FXSTC Wide-Glide with the EVO engine. Had gasket issues but theat may have been related to the original owner ounding on it (a young guy) and he did little or no service on the bike. We;ve owned at least 4 later model year EVO's (still have my '98) and the only issues that we have was one set of rocker box covers had to be replaced and i've replaced the intake seals on my '98.
My suggestion is to always to search for the latest model year bike that you want and one with the lowest amount of miles on the odometer and in the best physical condition.

Good luck on your search for a new project.
