Interesting, when I click the link for that I get this message : " Amazon has noticed unusual reviewing activity on this product. Due to this activity, we have limited this product to verified purchase reviews."
Anyways, if you have zero other storage a tank bag will help, doesn't really look like that is the case with your bikes. I used one for a little while on my low rider but noticed no matter how careful I was it still scratched the tank up.
I have a tank bag and used on my Sportster and now on my SG. I place a microfiber towel under the bag and it has large magnets that hold it in place. I use on trips only for all the maps, route sheets, chargers, etc. I does not slide around and is pretty firm on placement. When I'm done on the trip, it comes off and goes back into gear cabinet. Only draw back is I gotta remove it, place it on the seat, then hold the gas cap in my hand when I refuel.

This can mean that something shady (like the manufacturer paying for fake reviews) was going on.
I have used a tank bag for trips. Handy place to keep maps, gloves, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.. Used to use it for toll-booth change, but most of those read RFID chips now.

My need really isn't storage in general but rather accessible storage at 80mph.
Also, my Son has less accessible storage on his Heritage so I'm thinking of him as well.
We've got a 3000 mile trip planned for later this year to Deal's Gap and am looking for things to make the ride a little more convenient.

What are the goals for accessing storage at speed? My guess would mainly be GPS, which a mount might be better for - IMHO minimizing fiddling at speed is critical. Personally I'd avoid accessing any storage at speed for any reason, but maybe I'm just a wuss.

Thanks for your input but I’m really looking for opinions from those who use or have used a tank bag.
My question as it relates to the use of a tank bag: ”Are they more trouble than they are worth?”
