You guys are all wonderful for jumping in with the help.

Much appreciated!
It's good to hear your issue has been resolved. Rounders to the rescue! Without his valuable technical input, there's no doubt in my mind the mystery would remain unresolved.

It may be because I have actually done it.

All this because I said zip codes work for code codes. Something easy to remember. Could have just said nothing, and I would never have commented again in this thread.

R&R the HFSM with a non security version, I did it to a 2011 RK and a 2002 Dyna (TSSM to TSM). Then I sold them to someone who wanted security on their bike. In both cases, I found a hack to get the bike to recognize the new, non security units (without going to the dealer). Once that was done, I had a bike that started with the key and no security. On the 2011, batteries seem to last longer without proximity security.

Jehu,
Which fixed the problem: 1 Disconnecting aftermarket parts of 2 Being absolutely motionless??

Both, I think.
Everything is connected as per prior and, if the bike is absolutely motionless, it works!

My 2019 FLHTP has no security system, but I get the red indicator on the dash telling me there is a fault in the system, It comes on a minute or so after I start the bike. Can I disable it? I am mostly concerned it will somehow think it is being stolen and strand me.
Thanks

if the red light is staying on, check your trouble codes. i had one on recently, it was telling me that there was an open circuit in my right front speaker.
