Turning off your buddies bike before you race is a prank and just good clean fun. I didn't see any flirting or flamer undertones.
I thought the lifestyle push was a bit over the top but thats about it and I don't really care what Mike Wolfe or his current GF has to say, if anything it detracted from the video.
I have never participated in that type of interaction with my peers while growing up. It would have resulted in a serious fist fight, to say the least.
But the whole optic in the video was waaayyyy off the mark if they were trying to portray male comradery or something of that ilk. I thought it was a guy and a chick, judging by the outfits they were wearing, and their behavior. That is, until the reveal. In fact, it would have been much better if it had been a guy and a chick.
I just looked at the HD website. Anyone else notice the Road King Special is only a thousand dollars less than the standard Street and Road Glides? WTF is up with that? For only a thousand dollars more than the RKS, you can buy a RG or SG that not only has a fairing and full infotainment system, but you get RDRS standard (It is an option STILL on the RKS, add it as an option, now the RKS is about the same price), and you get the wet head 117 M8 engine, versus the 114 oil cooled head M8 on the RKS. It looks to me like they are intentionally trying to KILL the RKS. All of this means that the RKS is WAY overpriced for what you get. The SG and RG are relative bargains in comparison. When I bought my RKS two and a half years ago, a RGS and SGS were around 4 grand more, which makes more sense.
At least I am not tempted to trade my RKS for a new one!

Consider the RKS as a carryover, rather, a leftover from last year. Maybe overstock. They’re pushing people toward what sells.

Anybody notice the 2 Lane Life dude was in there too.
Started watching Harley video and 1 min in I felt like I would rather watch 2 lane life video. They have exceptionally done videos and at least ride to show different destinations. Plus they talk little bit of local history and promote local business.
Didnt feel like watching Harley commercial. lol.
After I started watching 2 lane videos, I havent had a desire to watch any other motorcycle channels. They have good videography, content and short videos to keep me engaged.

Yeah, it is a carryover. That isn't my gripe. I just find it ridiculous that it costs as much (If you opt for RDRS) for a carryover RKS as it does for an updated, full fairing, full infotainment, bigger displacement bike, that has RDRS as standard equipment. The RKS should be a good four grand lower in price versus the RG and SG. Even if it had the wet head 117, it still wouldn't be priced right. The RG and SG have way more "stuff", for almost the same price as a stripped down RKS.
At this point, it wouldn't surprise me if they dropped the RKS next year, and only offered the Road King Police model.
I went to the dealer today to see some 2024 models. I like the streetglide CVO, they did a great job with the restyle IMO and being 54 Im probably in their target range. Not too young to come up with the funds and not too old to be on my last bike.
I think the standard Roadglide (if thats what its called) will be good seller with the 117 and VVT without all the bells and whistles. The Manager said his belief is the Moco trimmed the models down which reduces cost and that is being passed on to the buyer. I also sat on a new Breakout, I like them too. I'll test ride one when the weather cooperates.

Wait what? Is that hot blonde in the beginning a dude at the end? Lol
And what helmets are those dudes wearing, that when they get to the bars their hair is perfect? I always look like Kramer from Seinfeld when I take my helmet off.

My understanding is that VVT is only on 121 motors CVO (not ST), but I agree package looks good, however I’m still not warmed up to the new RG fairing.
