I agree with you Red Beard.... showed pretty pictures but what really changed? What's new? No mention of any upgrades or improvements or new features. Kind of lame if you ask me.

Madison Avenue/Hollywood slick. Great photography, pretty pictures. I had a career in TV production, and it was well done. Focus group focused. IMHO, the groups missed it. I was hoping for more details about the BIKES (nice paint) than the whys and wherefors of some beautiful people/riders. FatBob's probably correct in opining that they just want you to do more research on your own. (LOL timeshares...)

I was done at about 4 minutes in, but I stayed until pretty much the end at 1.25/speed. It's intentionally fluffy, for reasons. I have no doubt these might be exceptional machines, probably too electronically complex for me, but you do you! The 121 would be fun, but as I've stated before *I* don't need the extra grunt for the type of riding we do. Again, YMMV.

So, yeah, I'm an old fart, eternal cynic, riding an old bike, can't afford/don't want the latest model. I'm not sure if this approach will draw other riders of other brands to the fold, and those of us who are here probably don't need much in the way of such advertising to convince us to stay if we aren't already turned off by other factors - you know what they are....

Corporate's gonna do corporate, dontcha know.

Looking on their website, I am glad they have more color options unlike years past. Doesn't cover a wide array of colors but at least there's more.

For all the "I will look to other brands", I gotta ask "what other brands?"

Are you going to get an Indian and then complain about no dealer networks, limited inventory, and LONG service appointment waits?
Are you going to get a BMW and then complain about recalls, price, dealer networks and the price of BMW tee-shirts?
Are you going to get a Triumph and then complain about no dealer networks, and British workmanship?
Or are you gong to get a Honda/Yamaha/Kawasaki and then boast about how little you paid in comparision.

All kidding aside, what other brands and models give you the same feeling as a Harley. I've had bikes from KTM, Honda, Yamaha, Triumph, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and none have ever had me go into the garage and just say to myself "Oh Hell Yeah"

There is a whole 'nother universe of riders that like brands other than HD, and are just as passionate about their rides. Go here and explore.

For my next bike, I want a mid-sized "pavement" ADV bike that I can mount hard bags on. I was hoping that Harley would produce a Pan America "Jr" but that's not happening, yet. I'm pretty much done with big bikes with more mass and power than I need.
I have had more "Oh hell yeah" moments on non-Harleys than I have had on Harleys, but I don't ride that way anymore.
I'll probably check out the BMW F900GS or a Suzuki V Strom. The Triumph Tiger 900 looks good too.
