I just noticed that the OEM battery for late model HD's are AGM. Now for years I have been just running Battery Tender and Schumacher maintainers. No choice for the bayyerty type, just plug in a go. Over the holidays I was gifted two NOCO Genius 5 maintainers, a very nice gift from my wife. I noticed that it has a AGM Mode. It is also a desulfating mode. However there is no way to activate the D Mode, it self appies if required. So what would the difference in charging be from flooded to AGM charging? I looked over the NOCO web site and they realy don't say. Thank you in advance for the replies.

When you say, "D Mode", are you talking about the desulfating mode? I have that exact charger and although it is little tricky to get the charger into that mode, it is possible and the instructions on how to do it are in that tiny manual that comes with it.

Use the mode button to put it in 12V repair. Manual attached.
I hate those little manuals that come with stuff, the print is so tiny you need a magnifying glass to read. I try and find the downloadable PDF for the item, then I can increase the print size on my computer screen for my poor old eyes.
I recently bought a 2024 FLHTP. Would that have come with an AGM battery as OEM? I've had no reason to take everything apart to view the battery myself yet but I have had it on a 1 amp maintainer.
If it was indeed AGM I do have a Prologix charger with settings for Standard/AGM/GEL. But of course that charger only has larger alligator clamps on it, no provision for a pigtail to simply plug into the bike.

Yep a sealed battery, as far as I know all new models will have AGM Batteries.
