I have a Gorilla Pod for my Point & Shoot digital camera. It is a very versatile "tripod" but it is not secure enough to consider for use on the bike.

I have the RAM mount. It works pretty good.

You can see the top of the circular disk in my sig, to the right of my Sirius radio and between the air temp and speedometer, at the level of the dash shelf. The arm from the handlebar mount is hiding the fuel gauge.
