I park mine in a parking spot just like I would park my truck. Why would anyone give me a hard time over that?
Park yours next to the curb or take up 2 spots like some rich ******* in a mercedes and I'll personally give you a hard time about it.
At work they get mad at the people that ride and park in a parking spot. They have motorcycle parking for us behind maintenance truck parking and where the garbage truck pulls in and backs out. I really think that it is that we get to work early and get the spots closer to the building that they are pissed about.

This is a great country, to allow even the most obnoxious ofpeople to spew whatever crap surfaces in their minds................
Bikes r for the most part smaller than say a truck, and should never be parked where it can be literally overlookedand God forbid hit or knockedover, especially in todays suv and 4x4 grocery getter clutter, dominated by soccer moms who seem content on backing while on the phone with their hair stylist and simultaniouslydoing their nails correcting the kids(who aren't buckled in) and palnning thier next trip to Boca Reton..................
If I can park in an end parking spot close to the store I park there, otherwise I park on thewide sidewalk by the store near the bike racks like Kolni. There is usually very little foot traffic there.
When I have gone out to eat and I have taken my bike, I just park it out in front just like I would my Jeep. Nobody has given me a hard time about anything concerning my bike. Most of the people that I have met have actually given me some good comments about my bike. Even when I have travelled out of the area, I haven't had any problems, I just lock her up and go about my business.
oh and for the record I usually park as close to the front entrance under the brightest lights as i can without being in the way of pedestrians or handicap folks. If i have to **** a few people off to ensure the safety of my bike then I'm cool with thatdefinatley never ever justin a parking spot, like say a truck............
I park in regular spots too...but I went to Wal Mart this past weekend and there were 3 or 4 bikes, parked at the end of the aisles in the space that is yellow striped....I never thought of doing that, because I cant park my car there...anyone else park in these spots...is it legal?
Nope.
Nor is it legal to park on the sidewalk.
Basically, if you can't legally park your car there, then you can't legally park your Bike there.
I try to find a spot that is away from cars, and hopefully, against a curb so some errant jerk tearing across the parking lanes can't run into it.

I park in a regular parking spot. I agree the sidewalk and spots up front by handicapped with yellow lines are not for parking. I just look at those guys and put them in the same category as someone who takes up 2 spots with their car they think is real nice. Seems like the bikes and cars like that think, for some reason , they are better than everyone else...... or lazy.

Well, I have never been much for laws anyways.
And around here cops don't issue parking tickets anyways, that is left to a private company that they outsourced to. And they only go after the handicapped parking violation cause that is a $250+ ticket..and the company get 1/2 of that.
Heck around here people park there cars infront of the store in a firelane and the cops STILL don't do anything about it!
