Actually, I'm surprised HD would state their emissions controls are good for more than a couple of hundred miles, since the vast majority of them never stay on the bikes that long......[sm=happybounce.gif]

You are only startled because you do not know what you are posting.

Thanks for your post... interesting read and that certainly related to specific parts only.

Why not quote more than 5 years I wonder?

In any event the reason for my post was to seek additional information or share the 'potentially interesting' comments that I had been told (as opposed to gossip I heard through 3rd parties).

Nothing more, nothing less...thanks for the input.

You're clearly a d*ck head!

I am smart enough to know that HD took the soft option and quoted a minimum life span on the engine in order to just cover themselves. I know these bikes last a long time.

They have to fit emissions parts that last the life of the engine and therefore quote minimums to cover their ***; that's all this boils down to...just thought I'd post something remotely interesting to those on this forum with more than one brain cell...clearly you weren't my target audience!

I'm fine with that...I don't care...I bought my bike and I am very happy with it.

Just sad that people can't read and comment in a civilized manner, I'm not scared of you..my Dads bigger than you dad!
[:'(]

And then you go on to say that personal insults are unreasonable?[:'(]

First off let me say this in the bestcommand of the English language I have. You are not a so called friend of mine period. My friends would not relay this drivel as factual information without first researching their source of that info.

I say to you Sir that you need to accept your own suggestion to stay off this forum with yourBS and you too can in your words "f**k off.

As far as your big gun and tough guy by owning it, please do yourself a favor and read the Manuel before attempting to use said firearm or risk the very likely chance of shooting yourself in the foot with it.

As defined in Funk & Wagnalls dictionary idiot is: 1. a person exhibiting mental deficiency in it's most severe form.
2. An extremely foolish or stupid person. I do believe by your starting this thread without being able to cite your "fairly reliable sources" you fall into definition #2.

I can most assuredly inform you that I do enjoy reading the posts on this forum that have something of an intelligent statement or contribution to make.

Without having the knowledge of the EPA of the USA or UK, why would you want to start this thread and then be offended when you are asked to supply your sources. Your idea of sharing information was neither interesting nor accurate.

It's possible...both partiesprint startling information without naming sources or checking their facts...usually resulting in name calling and blame games...
