Default Canadians getting ripped off!

HD has a web site listing all their prices in all countries. Us Canadians are getting ripped off.

Example: part # 37970-03A Race Clutch USD $384.95
CAD $529.95

Current exchange 1.14751

That would make this part cost $439.81 CAD after exchange in Canadian Dollars. It's $90.00 difference or about 22% rip off!!!!![:@][:@][:@]

I propose all us Canucks b*tch at our dealers, or go to the US, or they will continue to rip us off!

The reason that it costs so much in NZ is because the pony express rider has to ride a lot further, don't ya know?

Joking aside, I just sent two e-mails, one to the exclusive HD dealer in Canada, and one to a retailer that my wife gave $1,500 to at Christmas really giving them sh*t. I have cams on order, plus I have to get my SERT dialed in, and I'm not going to have it shoved up my a*s.

Don't worry I won't go postal, but I will make a serious stink about this.

what happens to shipments from the US to Canada?
Is there a hold up at Customs?
What if UPS or Fed-X was used?

I was out for a ride one day and ended up stopping at Pottsdam, NY harley shop.
It was way out in the middle of no where especially if compared to other HD shops that all seem to be re-locateing to the side of the biggest hy-way around or at least nearer to one. Anyway, there were many riders, 40 maybe even 50, all from Canada. Most were installing the parts they had just bought before leaving the parking lot.
I wonder if they had to do that so they wouldn't have to pay a duty tax at the crossing on the items or maybe it was just easier to carry the parts bolted on rather than strapped down.

Not really that big of a problem, we just feed our horses beans and the gas keeps them afloat. Besides, when the horses break wind, it gives them a little extra boost. It's like putting NOS on a Harley.

Chappy, untill recently it was fair, but because the US dollar has been sinking so fast lately, I guess the HD figured it could get one over on us and pick up the profit here in Canada. That's why they make millions!!!

I live close to the US, I could go to see Snarly for a beer, buy parts, and be home in a few hours, but that's not the point, I just hate to be taken for a sucker.
