So what say you? When riding, do you wear earplugs?
I wear them often except on short trips, but I am an Army Artillery Vet and only have about 50% of my hearing left and I want to protect the little bit of hearing I have left.
I like to wear them, but have not got into the habit of putting them in. They block out wind noise on the highway, and make it easier to hear when your passenger is speaking to you. I guess I should try to get into the habit.
Seeing as I have to have good hearing to pass an FAA physical, I wear them to keep out the wind noise when I'm gonna be riding more than a half hour or so.
Custom ear plugs always go in the ear before I start the bike and don't come out till I get off. According to my Audiologist I've lost 30% to 40% of my hearing at different frequencies and I don't want to lose any more. Wind noise is a major culprit.
Sometimes. Just started wearing them after reading a magazine article. Won't wear them all the time but definitely when riding at highway speeds.Hearing loss is no joke.
I put them onany ride on the highway more than 15 minutes apparently becausethat's the limit before damage is done. And I love music, the sounds of animals, andthe soft sighs of my sweetie.
