my wife and i have unlimited text messaging on our phones. its great for a quick note and when you dont want to talk to someone.
 \\;
btwn the both of us, we must send/receive over 3000 messages a month
I never used text messages until I got a phone with a keyboard on it. \\; Now, I prefer text messages over phone calls 99% of the time. \\; I don't always want to be trapped on a phone call, so I will just send a text message. \\; \\;I can text my wife from work, and nobody knows the difference. \\; Now, I \\;send and receive \\;e-mail with my phone too. \\; To me, it seems like talking on the phone is much more inconvenient than typing a text message these days.
I bought a cell phone with a QWERTY keyboard about 6 months ago. \\; Wow, what a difference that makes! \\; I \\;don't \\;like to talk on the phone much either, so it's nice to be able to send a text message instead. \\; I find I can communicate \\;more clearly with a text message than with a voice mail. \\; For some reason, as soon as that voice mail recorder comes on, I get tongue tied. \\; As others have said, it's \\;all about \\;personal preference.
Although I dont text..I have no problem with it untill I see someone who everytime I turn around is fiddling with their phone texting nothing important just for the sake of texting.
I wonder if George Carlin ever did a routine on text messaging! \\; I bet it was good!
 \\;
I think its great and one of these days im going to lean how to do it. \\;I dont like it when people in front of me at the movies start doing it.their phones are bright and shine right in my eyes.its irratating then I have to tell them to stop it and that pisses them off, and well.yada yada yada!!!
 \\;
I also have a big mouth and lots to say.I bet the Dh wishes I knew how to text!
It is nice to have I text people because it is just easier. Like said no BS'ing just straight to the point. Or, if I'm somewhere loud or just hanging out with friends and don't want to be on the phone. Or, watching movies or tv it is nice. When trying to have an actual conversation I call people though. I don't use all those damn shorthand messages that people use.
I use it but not a lot \\; I have unlimited texting The other day I was behind some kid driving down the road who was texting while driving \\; Now THAT was scary.
