I'm posting this picture for all the knuckle heads out there who b*tch every time someone touches their bike. I love my bike, but I love people more. These are my Uncle's Grandchildren. They were eyeballing my bike when I pulled up and their mom said "look but don't touch". As soon as the bike cooled off I asked if they wanted to sit on it. Their mom ran and got the camera.
Maybe we went to a different kindergarden, but when is it OK to whine about people wanting to play with your toys? Do you think these darling little angels are going to scuff up the bike any worse than the chit I put it through? I was more worried about the dirt from the bike getting on them.
Not quite sure where your going with this but small children shouldn't be climbing on anyones ride without permission and an adult in attendance. I don't want to see a child hurt because someone thinks it cute to let them crawl around on a fairly unstable 800lb bike.
As for someone just climbing on my bike, without my ok it's called "lack of resect".
Do I get ****? No I don't think so as long as you get off carefully and quick.
My parents taught me not to touch what was not mine.
Kids and bikes, hard to say no. Of course have the rider there to watch over but kids are just plain attracted to them like we are. I let mine crawl on it too. My six year old son LOVES to ride with me.
No Problem as long as you give the OK. BTW..I don't think of my bike as a toy. Would you mind if you came out of the store and some dude was sitting in the drivers seat of you Cage playing with the buttons on the dash? Just curious.
I'm with you MFHD. I got a buddy of mine into riding and his kids love to sit on my bike. They've got to nearly stand on the tank to get to the handlegrips. But in 10 years those kids are going to remember Dad's friend who used to let them sit on his bike more than I'll remember whatever scratches they may put in the paint.
It's not the children but the BUTTHEADS that think they can put their hands on anything they want. Would your attitude be the same if somebody pushed the bike and it fell? I think not.
