I dunno, I'd be more inclined to use this thing:

Throttle rocker hand rest. Takes away some of the strain from grasping the throttle with the fingers. Maybe it's just because I've never used one and haven't gone on any longer road trips yet, but a throttle lock just seems risky to me. Whatev', just my $.02.

Works great, downward flick of thumb locks it and upward flick
unlocks. Just a friction fit really, can easily move the throttle with it locked.

The Throttle Rocker works fine but you have to keep your hand on it. With the lever you engage it & take your hand completely off the throttle. I've rested it on my knee for 2-10 minutes or more on open roads just like I would do with my left hand.

I put a Throttlemate on my 07 Heritage and love it, so did the g/f and had to put one on her 05 Sporty, then a riding buddy wanted one and the list goes on. It helps a lot on those long rides.

How about keeping the Klever Lever in place. I removed my start wheel and placed this lever over the start and re-instaleld it but it pops up out of place once in a while.
