Solo Saddlebag (manpurse) with true dual fishtails?
I really wnat a solo saddlebag for my bike but am concerned it might touch the top of my pipes. I have an air ride that gives the swingarm a fair amount of motion. I have called Lick's to ask if it will fit and the guy was clueless. Aside from ordering and putting it on is another way to check for sure? I measured and it seems that it might touch the pipes with the bike in it's resting position but it is difficult to tell as I am not sure if there is adjustability as to where on the swingarm I can put it. Anyone have true duals with one of these? http://www.chopperscycle.com/motorcy...oducts_id/3963
The other thing I have thought might work si the sporty bag but it is hard to tell and I can't afford to be throwing money away. What do you guys think? I am not going to change my pipes in order to get this bag on. Will this work? http://www.lickscycles.com/catalog/p...oducts_id=1542
My last option is to get a bag for my sissybar which is supposed to arrive today. It is in the style of an 18" attitude stick. I have been unable to locate something that I find suitable. The requirements are that it must be black, and not have any studs, fringe or other decorative items aside from a buckle. I would rather pay a little more and get a really nice one but the only thing I ahve seen so far is the Nash Customs Sancho bag. It has to be bigger than a standard tool bag as well, but no so big as to make the bike looks off kilter. I am am picky about this kind of stuff. http://www.nashmotorcycle.com/?id=parts/sanchobags
Lastly, does anyone know of a company that will custom make a bag that is a bit shorter than the standard solo saddlebag? Thanks for the help peeps...
I jsut spoke to Nash Motorcycle Co. about their Dirty Ol' Bag(same thing) and he siad they could probably modify one for me. Plus diebartdie ahs a friend who does custom leather. I love the look fo the solo saddlebag. Judging from the pic of the 08 fatboy with the bag on it will definetely not fit without touching. I would moldify it myself but hate working with leather. The search is still on and I am waiting for a response from Nash from the pics I sent them. Bart, if you could ask your friend how much it would be to make a solo saddlebag style bag that is maybe 10" tall as opposed to 14" I would be interested. Thanks. PM<me the price.
i have one like the Nash bag and jst mounted it up high under the fender struts...works perfect and still captures that retro look, got mine from an indy for 99 bucks...but i seen them in CC or maybe Drag for 99 also.
