Default Another SERT question

Is dealer installation really required? Can't I just hook it up myself and change the map?

Dealer Installation is not required but don't expect much cooperation if you screw something up that voids your warranty. If you are good with computers and fairly knowledgeable on how EFI bikes work you can do it yourself. Of course, you should have it dyno's when you are done.

Dude, you bought an expensive bike. Let the dealer Sert/Dyno it and make it run right. Just make sure they give you a copy of your map on a CD. (ask them about this before you agree to have the work done)The most expensive part of the SERT is the SERT itself not the install. The dyno tune should be $300-400 tops. You won't be sorry. JMHO

Yes you can connect the cable and download one of the canned maps.
