Ok so as some of you may know already, I recently returned from a 15 month deployment to Iraq. During my deployment I purchases a new 09 FXDC thru Military car sales. They work directly with the manufacture to get service men and women good deals. I pretty much got my new scoot for around 13 grand. Bottom point is bike was supposed to be ready by the 31st of Dec. Its now the 2nd and the bike still hasn't even made it to the dealership. I made some calls and it was shipped from factory on the 23rd. Im guessing its in the mail somewhere lol you know holiday season and all. The weather here in Colorado Springs has been wonderful considering the time of year. I guess I'm just venting cause I'm ready to ride. Any one else have trouble when ordering thru Military car sales?
No problem here, bike was waiting for me as expected. But that was in '02. The way you explain it, sounds more like an HD factory shipping issue more than an Overseas Sales Program issue.
Hang in there, it'll make it.
Thanks for your service.
Agreed, if the bike has shipped from the factory, its probably not a Military car sales issue and more a problem with delivery during the holidays. I ordered one years ago and it was sitting there waiting on me when I got back. For the money you save, it's worth the wait.
I ordered a new Sporty before I left Afghanistan and I had no problems with ENCS. I did have tons of problems with the local dealership not wanting to take care of me since I didn't buy from them. They had it at the dealership for 9 days before they even uncrated it from the factory. I ended up getting it 4 days after the delivery date and only after I called one of the Harley reps for ENCS in New York and complained about the dealership. Had my bike ready that afternoon. I had a good experience with ENCS but I think I could have gotten my bike for about the same if I had just bought it here. Get ahold of the rep you dealt with when you bought it and he/she can tell you exactly when it left the factory and where it is in the delivery system. I was furious when I found out it sat in a crate a mile from my house for over a week right after I got home from Afghanistan.
But did you wait 3 weeks past the guaranteed delivery date? ENCS has a guaranteed delivery date stipulation in their contracts that says your bike will be ready whenever and wherever it is specified at the time of purchase.
