Another Throttle Question

Another Throttle Question
Did the 5000 mile service on omy sport,lubed the throttle cables,closed the throttle back up,seems to have about 1/16 gab where they come together in the front,have tried all different ways to put back together,still the same,put a little black silcone to seal the gap,could kind of see the cables even.Can't remember if it was like that or not,any ideas?

How did you lube it? Did you turn adjusters? Too much lube? Refer back to the manual and I am not sure if the black silicon is a good idea. Sounds like just something else to eroded into the cable sleeve.

If you are referring to the two housing halves,the gap should be even on front and backside when tightened down.The gap is so the housing will clamp to the bars preventing the housing from twisting.

Felt the need to add this--since it is not a dead man's throttle their should be no real danger but for future reference's--be real careful with your go and your whoa. Those are the two things that need to be a 100 % everytime. The only reason I would mention that is that I have been sloppy with my whoa and go due to the lack of attention. It has led to some of them did yall see that **** moments.
