Come on guys we all know having a woman basicly spooning us from behind is kind of cool, feeling a different womans breasts against your back is kind of cool. Thats why I don't do it, I am a man I can't help it and all our wives know it.
Be honest, if it was one of your buddies broke down would you have taken the bike?
How many posts were there saying two dudes on a bike is wrong?
To be completely honest I would have 1st Called my wife to tell her where I was going and what I was doing. Then I would take the truck, also tools and parts depending on what the issue was.
So all you guys crying foul, playing devil's advocate, say your wife is at home and she gets a call from a friend of yours saying he's stranded by the road and would she please come give him a lift home, your wife takes her bike, or hell, your bike, and picks the guy up and turns the controls over to him (because being Mr. Macho it's doubtful his pride can handle riding bitch ) and rides on the back and drops him at his house. She doesn't call you to say, so-and-so is stranded and needs a lift and I'm gonna pick him up on the bike but she mentions it in passing later, and of course, you're completely okay with that? Right. You might say to her, "Oh sure, fine honey" (doubtful but possible I guess) but to yourself you're thinking, "From now on, I've gotta keep an eye on so-and-so."
Nope, I would have no problemo with her taking my bike, (or hers if she had one), to pick up a friend in need without calling me before hand. Also, she wouldn't give up the controls....She'd tell them to "hop on the biotch seat or stay stranded". I think the only exception not giving up the controls would be for one friend that rides with us & that would be because of what Slaps stated above....My friend is 6'3" and 300lbs (also named Kevin) versus the GF which is 5'2" & ~130#, that would look hella funny, and wouldn't be very safe.

I've done it before and will do it again when the car wasn't usable.

Sure, I'd preferably take the truck if it was a guy buddy, but if I was already out on the scoot when I got the call....then he'd ride biotch, and yes, I've had to do that before. I've also ridden biotch on a buddies scoot when mine broke down......
I think the bottom line is that everybody has a different opinion and feels differently about the situation. So the important thing I guess is to establish the rules.
An interesting story though, a few years ago my girlfriend at the time went for a ride on the back of a co-workers bike while we were at a company picnic. There was no permission asked or granted and I didnt even know about it until I saw them ride off.
When I saw this I honestly did not care or think anything of it and the male co-worker was single at that.
Now when they returned my girlfriend walked over to me and quietly mentioned that she had 'finished' shall we say while on the bike. It helped that she was wearing tight jeans.
Even then I did not care or think anything of it.
Gotta love Harleys!
