If nothing happens, then nothing happens. Doesn't matter one iota if that nothing happens in a truck or on a bike, it's still nothing. So what if the bike gets someone turned on? It's a basic physiological reaction that has no connection whatsoever to conscious intent. If you're worried about someone getting turned on by the bike do you also avoid watching any movies that have attractive women in them? I mean, you might get turned on by that Bond girl and heaven knows we can't allow natural physiological reactions.
If a woman trusts her husband and trusts her friend, then there is absolutely no rational reason for something like this to upset her. None.
Not quite the same thing, but thanks for playing! You don't watch a Bond movie, get turned on by the girl in the movie, while sitting there holding hands with another woman, do you?
You didn't comment on my main point, about it being a matter of respect towards my wife, since it happens to be a personal item that we enjoy to do together. Any comments (yea or nay) on that aspect? Kinda my point on how it's less about trust.......
You used the word rational and women in the same sentence? Sheesh, you must not know women at all!! Whoever said they were rational?
Man, if you're gonna' do that again, ya' might as well go ahead and sleep with her. Seriously...this subject came up here a couple of other times and there just seems to be something about another woman riding behind a married man that makes his wives claws come out!
Bad Ju-Ju!!! This is one of those things that men just don't believe are that serious a breech of the marriage contract...until it happens.
guess I'm one of the lucky ones, we both think life is too short for petty jealousies. but then we have an agreement that as long as we are honest with each other there aren't very many things that are off limits. it's all good.
Lots of helpful and humorous replies so far, and all of them remind me of why I'm still happily single...but my personal opinion garnered from my time when I was married is the following....Did you do anything wrong??...NO. Was it the SMART thing to do??...NO.
well i say what does it matter unless you pick up some "random" chick just to cruise with no thats bad juju and you just don't dabble in that. but anywho i asked my wife the situation and she said that she wouldn't mind she would think nothing of it of course she said if it was a friend and not some "sk8nk" then she said that she has her own bike so she doens't really care.
Always fun to see the reactions when this topic comes up as it does a few times a year. Yes, it is certainly all about trust. Personally though, if I were single and stranded, I would never call a friend's husband first, I would have called my friend first, and then if she sent her husband to get me, fine. That would have been the most respectful way to have handled this situation IMFO.
She did call the house and left the message on the machine. I was the first to get to it. I think my choice of vehicles was the issue. A bike is a very personal thing and I may have crossed a territorial line. 49 years old and still haven't figured out this woman thing.

Well, the key phrase is "family friend". My wife's the real jealous type...even tho she has no cause to be...but, if'n I gave a mutual friend a ride, she wouldn't have a prob with it. That bein said...some of our "friends" are a bit more friendly than others...and we both know who they are...so, they would not be approved on the back of my scoot by the missus. Sounds like yer OL failed to communicate this kinda info to ya...unlike my wife, who ALWAYS makes sure I know the "friendly" ones to avoid.
Yes Sir. My Mom told me to watch out for girls like that. I have, and DAMMD, they can be hard to find at times, TJ.
