Default best way to load bikes in 7x14

I know you guys have had experience hauling bikes in trailers.. I am headin to Florida in a couple days with a Fatboy and a Nightster in a 7x14 trailer.. Is it best to stagger them, or put them side by side? Thanks for the help..

If your trailer has D-rings in the floor, you can go side by side. I've never seen guys load them staggered before even on an open trailer.

Got a 2008 FLHX and a 1600 Vulcan in a 6x12 right now. Have them staggered 24in. so the handlebars and fairing don't rub. One is 6in off the front wall and the second is 30in from the front.

I've got a 7X14 enclosed trailer equipped with a side door and rear ramp door. I carry an Ultra Classic and a Street Glide in the trailer in a staggered configeration. The Ultra is placed all the way forward (left side of the trailer) with the front wheel in a Bike Pro wheel chock. The Street Glide sets approximately three feet from the front of the trailer on the right side (next to the side door) also in a Bike Pro wheel chock. This configuration allows easy access to the Ultra Classic from the side door of the trailer and makes it much easier to secure the tie downs on the bike. The bulk of the weight is still forward of the single axle of the trailer. I've made several trips from south Florida to Indiana with no problems. Make sure to check your tie downs when you stop for gas. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

I agree on the staggard set -up. Pretty easy to cause damage without their being offset. Easier to get the second bike in and tied down properly too. Have a set-up pretty much the same as Sarge.
