baffles and first service
Hi, I just purchased a 09 electra glide and put on some wild pigs slip-ons, they sound ok but would like a little more volume, thinking about removing the wrap from the baffles. my question is will that make the bike louder and will it effect engine performance? also what is a fair price for getting the first service done? thanks

locodude, i am not familiar with your brand of slipon 's, but i will tel you from experiance that slip on's will get louder after miles of use and will sound louder after time. also packing material around baffles is very important for dispersing heat and once removed may cause blueing

They will get louder as they "break in". The fiberglass packing is there to quite down the tone and will eventually burn off making it louder. As for your first service, you can do it yourself and save money. Just save all the receipts and write down when & what you did in your manual. That way you have proof if you need warrenty work done.
