OK, so I've got a new 09 RK and I'm not very impressed with the rear air ride. I had it at 0 by myself and would slowly add 5psi each time to get a sweet spot. NO matter where its set I still eat my *** on bumps! Who changed theirs to regular spring shocks like progressives or something?
You are way off, that is why. Set it at 30 PSI to start, not 0.. Then add 5 psi until it is good. You need at least 30. At 30 PSI, it will ride like a caddy. As an alternative, try reading your manual. ;-)

Man, for a "Cheesehead", you shur gots a lot o' scooterz in yur grudge!!!!!
(AND a li'l 'feisty', too. )
Me thinx the Packer Backer is onto something, Fire Guy.
I run 16 -18#s in my rear 'shock'. (But you might jus' call it a 'tire' ) IF I put 30#s in it, and hit a pothole, can you say "airborne".
I think mine are at about 12 on my RK. I used to adjust them to about 22 if my wife was going with me but zero is the softest ride. I find it too wallowy (is that a word?). Bike just doesn't corner well. Twelve seems fine. I haven't been on any Harley with standard shocks that has a better ride so even if it's possible, I think you'd regret it. Big bumps you have to take your butt off the seat and use your knees as shock absorbers before hitting it even with a tourer. When I had my Sporster, my knees WERE the shock absorbers over all bumps.
