I dont know how you say that a cop is wrong for enforcing a law that thay had nothing to do with making. The people that a responible for making laws in your city is the city council. If you feel so strongly about so called "stupid laws" then write or call your councilmen.
Im a cop in a city that just passed a noise ordanance. No one here is really happy with it becasue most of our dept rides Harleys or other motorcycles. But the city pays us to enforce the laws that the people in the city feel necessary. Some will enforce it and some wont, just like any other law. The reason this is becoming such a big deal is becasue so many are riding now and many are making their bikes as loud as they can and ripping through the citys. So on one hand i understand the law becasue at times it can be annoying but on the other, the city I work for dont really have much time to mess with it and the traffic unit already said that they wont enforce it unless they are forced, which they will be becasue for some reason the state is getting involved and giving citys grant money to enforce the noise ordance.
I guess the point of this stroy is if you dont agree with the law, tell your councilmen. They might not listen becasue most of them are stuffy nose liberals that hate motorcycles, but if they get enought heat from it they will be forced to address it. So instead of everyone complaining about the issue, take action like the good ol days.
The only question I would have is...........The officers who choose to uphold this law and write tickets......will they ticket a fellow officer who's pipes are too loud ???
We should ride up there and burn it to the ground.
How dare they pass a law that bans loud pipes. That's un-American that town has been taken over by commies. Only commies would ban the sweet sound of the all-American motorcycle.
I went through this same issue except it was a color thing! So in honor of the local SCUM this is for them! A little town with a racial problem. I believe it fits....
You're pi$$ed off at the Department of Veterans Affairs Police Department?
