I get a kick out of some of you. "I wish I had it back", "should have never sold it", etc. I bought a "new" EVO Road king 2 years ago with 2,500 miles on it and I will NEVER get rid of it. It's sitting right next to the ironhead that I've been riding for the last 30 years or so. When I get ready for another bike there will be no trade in and no regrets for selling the old bike.

Can't say it any better....

took a test ride on a new deluxe the other day.it was comfy but no comparison to my bike, imo.couldn't hear the motor, couldn't feel the motor, barely heard the pipes, felt like i was "locked in"to the riding position.also didn't like the toe-heel shifter.just made me want back on my ol' evo.i can sit up and hammer on mine or i can stretch out and cruise, either way,my evo just makes you become part of the machine.thats soul.and its great therapy.the deluxe was a "pretty bike"however

Everything you mentioned except the engine is pretty much stock anything, change out the pipes, throw on some highway pegs...jump on a Dyna and you'll feel the engine too. Nothing to do with an evo to twinkie comparison...just how you have your scoot set up.

yea your prob. right, when i got back to the stealership i told the guy ,getrid of the boards ,put pegs on ,get rid of the heel shifter, change the bars, seat and pipes and maybe you'll have something.i guess in the end it's all up to the individual.hats what makes the arleys such great machines, the mods are almost endless that you can doand make the machine whatever you want.just the same...i'll keep my BadBoy.thank you founding fathers
