Default washing bike cause blown fuse

Has anyone ever had a fuse blow after washing their bike? I washed mine yesterday and the accessories fuse was blown. Each new fuse I installed would also blow. How can I prevent this from happening the next time I wash my bike?

Sounds like you have a wire that is bare somewhere or something along those lines and the water is completing a direct ground short blowing the fuse. You will have to locate the source first or you will continue to have this problem. What accesories have you installed linked to this fuse?

Hummm I have to agree that some wire is bare somewhere or somehow you got water into your fuse box and that is supper hard. Maybe yout fuse block is cracked or you have bare wire what one is blowing?

It's the fuse that controls the speedo, the horn, the turn signals and the brake light. I havn't installed anything electrical on the bike, all of that is stock. I did replace the switch housings with chrome ones, but I checked those last night and they are a tight fit. Right now the bike is over at my brother in laws and I am going to head over there and see if I can trace down the short and get this taken care of.

Is it possible you pinched a wire when you changed out the controls? It's easy to do...
