Just did it and, of course, it didn't fit right and now I'll lose time and money returning it. HJC IS-33, which would have been a major helmet type change for me. Smarter now, gonna get my return done and, even if the selection is less, buy what I can put hands on.

^^ This

What you do is fish around your local sportbike shops find the one that looks the bast and fits the best (by the way a little to tight new is prbably dead on) and THEN order it online at a discount. You can easily save a couple hundred bucks that way.

As far as the Icon, they don't have a very good rep in the sportbike world. But I think a lot of that is WHO is wearing them, Icon is pretty popular with the stunt crowd. Other then that there have been quality and longevity issues with Icon equipment....but it will protect your grape.

I had a pair of Icon gloves and they wore through the palm in like a year...so I'm not sure I would recomend the company. One year for a glove is pretty bad, what would have happened if I had went down.

It seemed kind of heavy to me, and I couldn't get a good fit, but that's probably my head's fault.

Have worn an ICON SSR for about a year and like it fine. It is hard to get on (tight) but very comfortable while wearing it. I thought maybe that was just me(head shape) but someone also mentioned it a while back. Haven't tried it on the pavement yet but it's DOT and SNELL approved. Inside pads snap out for cleaning and the visor's also easy to remove.
