Default wide glide

I had a 2001 wide glide and miss it. I was looking at the new ones and imo they messed them up. What were they thinking?

The Softail Custom is about as close as you can come to the old Wide Glide. It's a crime and a shame what Harley has done to a favorite.

I'm with 'ya...The WG was a really nice-looking ride. The new bike looks like something a punk would ride.

I wonder what the target market was for these "dark custom" bikes.

I like them both, but prefer the 1980 original.

Get rid of the ugly wheels, replace the rear fender with a bobtail, add some chrome and it's back to being a real WG again. There's a thread on here somewhere - someone bought a new WG, changed the wheels, did some other stuff - it's a nice looking bike.

Change the wheels are you crazy those things are sweet. I hate the bob tail(probabley tell from the sig pic) I guess they could have called it somethin diff. but face facts, it's got a wide glide front end on it.

beauty is for sure in the eyes of the beholder...
I never paid that much attention to Dyna's I just looked at the 2001 and a new one.
With trend going dark, I think the new one's are better looking than the older one....
The pipes on the new one sucks, but how many leave them stock anyway.
I like the rims, seat and the rear fender better.
So IMO I'd take the new one over the looks of the older one.
