Hey everyone...Just registered...No Harley yet but have a good friend with a 2003 V rod...his throttle cable broke on him and he bought a new cable and needs assistance in replacing it...I have been turning wrenches since 1986 (med/heavy truck) and know my way around the toolbox...
Anyway, I did a quick search and did not see anything and was wondering if someone had a brief outline of what is involved in replacing the cable and what things to look out for. I had read some stuff on throttle cables and some issues with them rubbing on the underside of the gas tank..I have yet to even look at his bike but I am assuming it is fuel injected..
any help would be much appreciated..We wanna get his bike back up and running as the weather is turning to riding weather here now...
