I use custom made earplugs with an approx 5 years guaranteed lifespan. Costed arround € 80,00 and you can selects an inbuild noice filter for your needs.. I'm sure it should be available in your part of the world also.
Whatever you decide, i can only strongly urge you to wear plugs and i really don't care what others say about that. Not using plugs will for no doubt eventually kill your hearing to not acceptable limits and in a worse case scenario will give you lifelong tinnitus in return. (and yes, i know what i'm talking about)
People who are "in" for that trade are insane and i'm proud for you you are not 1 of them.
Very, very wise of you to get plugs asap AND use them. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!
the kind I have and like the best have been discontinued, they had three disk, each one getting bigger, medium dark blue in color.. the new yellow ones just dont cut it.
Aero EAR Classic plugs are pretty good. I like the granda's but I think they even quit making them also.. there just a bit longer and larger than the classic's.
I went to a hearing aid center and had some custom ones made they are like hearing aids and are formed for your ear, they are awesome, makes it so much nicer, and its the best 50 bucks,i ever spent i have been riding for 35yrs and for you youngters out there it will catch up to you evenually
