lightweight rain jacket
Anyone had any success finding a jacket, flow-thru, that has a waterproof liner you can wear in hot weather? I have one jacket, good for spring or fall as it has a WP liner, but it is insulated, isn't gonna work for rain on a warm/hot day.

The Joe rocket mesh jacket I've got is pretty fair for warmer weather and has a zip in rain liner. I think it might be a Phoenix model (not sure - they've got a few). If you just need something light and packable (i.e. no armor) then I'd second the Frog Toggs jacket. The one I've got doesn't hold up too well in a downpour but it hits the spot if I'm not wearing a regular jacket and just need something for a popup shower.
I usually refer to my mesh jacket as my Power Ranger outfit. It's pretty outlandish, particularly if I leave in the extra shoulder armor, but it beats leather in the summer when I'm paranoid about traffic and want the protection.
Edit - note about the Joe Rocket - the rain liner is not ventilated (I'd only wear it in the rain). It's not as bad as PVC but it will get warm.

You can get a carhart goretex rain jacket for half of any thing for motorcycles.

A good light weight water proof jacket is a garbage bag with holes for your arms and head rolls up small for your ditty bag and it's cheap. P.S. take the garbage out first !
