The site only states not for use on Z-rated motorcycle tires...if you're running Z-rated tires on your Harley you're wasting your money

I wasnt trying to put anyone down for their choices, i just come from a background where i prefer being self sufficent. I try to make sure that whatever situation i get in, i can get out of on my own. I do 99% of my riding and touring solo so it is a necessity. To me it is fun too. Yes, i carry a pump, bead breaker, 3 irons, lube and a jack. The jack is more of a crutch that when used with the sidestand can jack the bike up. When you need it jacked up higher thats when you get creative with rocks and logs, etc. However that said i am also only 35. My dad just calls AAA and lets the dealers, etc. handle it.

i used to have laced wheels, but after 2 flats, and hog not showing up to give me a tow, i decided 'never again'..... now i just carry a plug kit with me. haven't had to use it on my bike, but have on a buddy's.
That's the reason I got rid of my laced wheels, at least I have a option now. I realize they make laced wheels now that can be patched but too pricey for me.

Just have to improvise. Can't find any help, sleep on the ground near your bike and get it fixed in the morning. Those are the times you remember forever.

Yep, when I was 35 I'da thought and done the same. Too old, cranky and lazy now to be doing a buncha heavy lifting. I'd get a lot better use by carrying a six-pack then a tire iron.

You should see the mess that stuff makes inside your rim.
Late day flat tire on a motorcycle far from home = hotel/motel/barn/woods overnight stay.
