I own one and have ridden it for about 400 miles now. Overall I like it a lot. IMO for my style of bike it is the best looking double seat I have seen. I replaced my Danny Gray solo (see it in the sig) with this one. I think it looks as good and it allows me to take the wife on short runs. Passenger seat is small so it is not good for any significant double riding. Especially without a sissy bar.
It is soft compared to the Danny Gray. Butt gets a little tired after 100 miles or so. Company is good. I ordered my seat from Drag Specialties (i think) but they sent the wrong seat.
Sent an email to Le Pera and Christie Le Pera responded immediately and took the seat back and sent a new on. Great customer service.
Motordog, Can you give me a comparison to the stock seat in terms of comfort? I just took my 06 roadking a pretty long road trip and I think I need to find something else but I do not want to sacrifice looks. I went 3300 miles in 7 days and I understand anything sucks at that pace.

With that kind of riding I think you will have to sacrifice looks. The Villain will get to you after about 100 miles new and about 150 broken in. I put on my Drag Specialties seat (see image below) for longer and double up rides. I do sacrifice some looks but not too bad. And it is very comfortable. Doesn't heat up in the direct sun either.
I have had personal experience with the Sundowner too. Don't like the looks as much as the Drag, but the ride is great. Never a problem for me or the wife even on long rides. Lots of supporters for the Sundowners.
Have the Villain single with gel on my Dyna. Looks great, good leather, very well made, comfortable and really good people to deal with. Got to have the gel or it would be hard take for over 100 miles

You know that's a good idea about the gel. I am sure it would make a big difference. What about the heat?
