If you can't rinse with water, use a Micro-fiber cloth or a California duster. They have a positive static charge that will pull the dust away from the paint. When you use something like Pledge, it keeps the dust on the paint causing very fine scratches.

My shelves are full of quick cleaners. Often use Lemon Pledge (or generic equivalent), S-100 Detailer and the new "wonder finish" from the local auto parts store TOP COAT. This stuff leaves a shine like Zaino!!!

I know we all try to help, but 36 grit sand paper??? Good for a laugh. If you've got a good wax job on it, like I have on mine, wait till spring, blow it off and ride!! After you get the bug juice off!!

"Slick Mist" is the best I've used over the years. It's kinda new but available at most Auto Parts stores. It doesn't take much and seems to actually pull dirt out of the paint.

In the past I've just used Pledge or just a spray bottle of water. Yes; plain 'ole water works pretty dang good.

I've been using the Slick Mist for about 6 months now and I find I don't need to use much. Of course a clean terry cloth or micro fiber cloth is a must.

Give it a try. I think you will like it.

Oh; and I use it on everything. Even the windshield.

Another +1 for Meguiers Quick Detailer, used it today to remove 1,000+ miles of "love bugs" from my front fariring and saddlebags from my trip to Fla. Spray it on, let it set a minute, no scratches!
