God help us if you actually carry a concealed weapon. Jesus.

I get a ton of that around Baltimore/DC. I ride I-95 on my commute to work. I usually just try to counter their impatience by trying to get where I'm going 30 seconds faster. Feels a lot safer when I'm speeding around/past everyone as opposed to everyone speeding around/past me.

So you wanted to keep the group in a pack. He wanted to use the road, maybe he was in a hurry, pissed off whatever. I believe what you (or others in your group) did was illegal.
All I hear is just another reason to avoid riding in large groups. Especially those that aren't well organized.
I donate to good causes and attend events. But unless it is a parade I ride at least 1/2 mile behind or ahead of the group.

Sharing the road is a two way street guys.

We can't b1tch about cars not wanting to share the road with us, and then turn around and think we can impede traffic at our will.

Poker/charity runs are not viable reasons for holding up any traffic.

When on a motorcycle, and the other guy is in a car.....you will lose. The smart thing to do is let the car pass and stay clear, IMHO.

For future reference, instead of blocking traffic, pull over and wait for the rest of them to catch up maybe in a large visible parking lot.

Certainly would be wound a little tight. My job puts me all over So Maine working for Electric Utility, have to stop a lot on side of road sometimes blocking lanes on narrow roads.Always amazes me how so many vacationers you think be relaxed visiting our state, get so uptight and very impatient. Some even go a little berserk if I can't move the truck in an instant.Always makes me take much longer with bad attitude, makes me smile watching some pace back and forth.I say to myself Welcome to the Great State of Maine!!

Yeah I like to get where I'm going fast, but there are just times when you have to sit back and let someone else have there time and when you see a large group of bikes you should always let them stay together, but about 90% of all drivers to not seem to know that. You had every right to be pissed and that dude is lucky a bunch of bikers did not kick the crap out of him.
