These days it's all about me me me. How dare those bikers hold me up for 90 seconds? glad nobody was injured and good for you for raising the money.
We always get the PD to do the redlights and try to lay out the ride so that only right turns are done. At every turn we have someone to go ahead of the group , dismount and stand so that they can be seen and physically point the new direction. Worked great for us this year and limits the need for multiple LEO's which they appreciate.

He's likely saying the same thing about us.
"Those bikers are all about me me me, blocking the road so that they can make a way long line together". "Who do they think they are, blocking intersections whenever they want?" "Car drivers can't do that".
Don't get me wrong, I am on the bikers side. But non-bikers have feelings too!
Just trying to put some realism into peoples thinking.
Adding danger to the equation is horribly wrong (obviously).

I think some of you misunderstand what I'm pissed about. I wasn't pissed cuz he failed to "recognize my authority" I was pissed because he chose to cut through a parking lot and without stopping pull out in front of a group of bikes who at that point had the right of way because they hadn't got to me yet.
If he wanted to get out and yell at me I understand that. Get my license plate and call in a complaint to the popo so I get ticketed that I can understand.
And to whoever asked I know exactly what he was driving but I wouldnt use that to do anything or to hunt him down.
Reads to me like the azzhat was making a very deliberate oblivious statement doing what he did think about it , taking the situation any father would have ended the day badly for a number of people not to mention jail time & stitches .
Cage boy drew a huge line in the sand for everyone to see , he got very lucky with his choice of groups to pull that stunt with that,s all .
You can bet he was all over Craigs list later raving about how he punked a bunch of biker bitches with their loud pipes . See his type every day .

People with route directions should be placed within the group so no one gets lost if the group gets divided. I don't believe in blocking traffic. For a cage to get into a group of bikes without hitting anyone, there has to be a gap. Don't leave one.
So we had a little benefit ride for a co-worker this Sunday. As we came back into town for the 50/50 raffle and door prizes we didn't have the Police escort we had when we started the ride so I pulled out and blocked traffic for about 90 secs so all the bikes could stay together and no out of towners would get lost.
I know that I'm in the wrong for blocking traffic I get that, but this ******* does a u-turn then pulls through a parking lot and cuts off about 5 bikes and jumps in the middle of about 100 bikes.
How big of a hurry could you possibly be in that you couldn't wait 90 secs and that you'd endanger peoples lives to pull out in front of them?
I'm not a violent person but damn about a thousand things raced through my head. The ******* made a nice little gesture as he passed me as well.
I guess I just wanted to vent and I know I don't have the right to block the road but I wonder if he does the same thing to funeral processions?
Would you guys be pissed to or am I just expecting too much of my fellow man?
It is, I am sure, harder for someone to accept a motorcycle rider in a "run" blocking traffic for the riders in the "run" to stay together, when said rider blocking traffic is not a "police" rider with red and blue lights. To the driver, the motorcycle rider is, I am speculating another persons thoughts, a self-centered, ego driven, a-hole. Said driver has no idea what the hell is going on or why the hold up.
Large group rides may need to have maps, reference points, and locals mixed into the group as best as possible for the sake of traffic lights that might break up the group.
What did Dale Earnhardt say??? Lead...Follow but Stay Outta the fuKKKn way... now if that were my friends in that parking lot...well... lets just say we don't have that kind of restraint... proven by an extensive criminal record...
Anyone that has been toward the back of one will already know how dangerous and poorly managed most of them are. I darn sure have no desire to go on any more of them.
As far as the OP is concerned, I'd rather have a cage jump in line with us, than to cross my path for me to broadside him.
In order to keep the gaps closed, you risk rear ending the bike in front of you when he slams his brakes.
Just a flat out dangerous situation, no matter how you look at it.
