I have nothing against metric riders but what I saw over the week-end really made me laugh.
I was riding out to have dinner with my harley buds on sunday evening when I noticed a bike coming up behind me really fast. He got within about 4 bikes from me and fell in formation. I could tell it was a metric because of the blinkers in the front but I thought kool, someone to ride with for a while until I get to my buddys house metric or not. He stayed behind me for about 10 miles then exits and starts hauling **** down the feeder. As he passed me I could tell it was a honda shadow but what I saw next almost made me lose control. He was wearing chaps, a bluejean shirt with a big harley emblem on the back and a screamin eagle leather skull cap.
I had never understood the concept of being a poser until I saw this wannabe. If you ride a metric fine, but don't dress in harley attire. You look like a loser!!!
Wife has a Honda shadow spirit 750 and sometimes i just hop on it to go get some cigs or go to the store and i forget to take off my harley shirt. Guess im a part-time poser when that happens.[sm=biker.gif]

eh. at least he's riding a motorcycle.
it easily beats the folks driving a pickup truck with the hd sticker while their harley sits in the garage.
Had a friend whose wife rode a Pacific Coast( if you remember those, looks like a crotch rocket) on the back she put a harley metal emblem, looked like it came on it, we would laugh when these harley riders would see it at a resturant and walk around it and try and figure out what model it was. LOL

LOL... when I was still riding my Vulcan my Harley riding friends used to tell me that I needed to work on my riding 'attire'. They told me that I can where Harley shirts even though I rode metric. I'd consider these guys 'bikers' so now you're telling me if I would have done that I would have been considered a poser [sm=icon_rofl.gif] The great thing about riding with them was we all where equals no matter what anyone rode or wore.
