Do not use motorcycles superstore.com. I recently ordered tires from them, one of the tires was out of round. I called them to try to return the tire. They told me I had to take the tire off, send it back, and they would send it on to Dunlop for inspection. After that Dunlop would credit them then they would credit me. Meaning I would be eight weeks without tire, the price of two mounting and balancing, the return shipment of the bad tire, and just generally being POed. I will never deal with motorcycle superstore again.
I have had bed experiences with Motorcycle super store as well. I bought a tailbag from them that came apart within a few months. Came apart. they wouldn't even return my emails.
In today's economy - they're probably trying to ensure they (SuperStore) get credit for poor product too - doesn't sound like a problem to me...fair business practice.
I have had good luck with them so far. I'll take my chances.
Why do you have to go 8 weeks without a tire? Just buy another one from somewhere else (hopefully it will be round ... no telling), and keep the other tire for when the current one wears out.
That's a risk of buying online. If you want an on-the-spot fix, buy locally.
+1 on that and lot of times the local shop will come down on price if you ask .No shipping cost but sales tax it's a wash .Best part is you keep the money in your local community and if you have a problem you take it back and deal with them face to face .
