do your pipes get red-hot?
Just curious, I never noticed before, but then again I never really looked. I parked the bike tonight and noticed under the heat-shields that my pipes were red hot. V&H BBL if that makes a difference.

Yup, My RoadKing, GF's RoadKing, and buddy's Nightrain all glowed red where the pipe exits the rear head. Race tune cured mine & the GF's problem. Friends Nighttrain was reposessed, so moot point. They are set up to run hot from the factory;way too hot IMHO. Pisses me off that you spend all that $$ on a bike, then you gotta spend more $$ just to get it to run RIGHT!

My FLHX glowed coming out both sides. Supertrapp slip ons, added stage 1 breather kit calmed it down a bit. Tuner coming up next.

Just installed Samson true duals and noticed the same thing. Never noticed before till tonight. Scared the crap out of me, so I just did a search. I understand a little red but this looked like it was going the melt the pipes! A/C is stock. Will it be okay or do I need to immediately remap!
