I was stationed at Ft Lewis for my last assignment 20 years ago and loved the area. (We used to go to the range in Yakima quite a bit. Don't know if that is near where you are.) So I stayed and went to UW. Always planned to move back. But, man oh man! It has become a megalopolis!!
Still glad to be out here. Edmonds is a nice little pocket of calm in the middle of all this, but it takes less than 10 minutes to ride form one side to the other, though we do like it. But I do miss cruising at 75 on traffic-less roads
I just moved away from there... I got out of the Army in 1996 there in Lewis with 2nd Batt and stuck around went to school, got a job, did the whole family thing... I'm much happier here in California:-)
