Tire Replacement?

Johnny popper: I have patched a few tires and tube in the years that i have rode. My last flat was on my new heritage with only thousand mile on it. Took it to the dealer for repair . They put a new tube in it. I asked why they didn't patch it , they said it was for liability reasons that they didn't patch it.

A while back I had put a new pair of E-3's on my 2000RG and made it to about 300 miles on them when I picked up a drywall screw in the back tire. I travel with a tire plug kit purchased from J&P. I put the bubber mushroom shaped plug in & was back under way in less than 30 min. The tire lasted approx. 12,000 before a new tire was put on the bike. That may not be for everyone but it worked for me.
