Default So I took her to Glendale Harley...

And we looked at some sporty's as that is what she has decided she wants for her first bike. We should all be so lucky. Anyway, we found a sporty custom 1200 in cobalt blue that she jsut fell in love with. It was used, but was still quitea bundle IMO. When did they start making the 1200 custom with the bigger tank and stuff? The salesguy said 06, but I don't believe a word he says. They wanted like $8950 for it OTD with 750 miles on it, but IMO not worth that much. What do you guys think, and what about when that model was started to me made. Thanks...

I do know that some of the sporters came with the larger tank...I am not sure, but I believe it was the Custom's that did and that was an upgrade for 06.

or be lucky enough to catch a guy who isn't happy with the trade in value on his 7 month old sporty

If you hang out and now of places that Riders hang out...put up some wanted fliers...cheap and easy and you may be suprised what could happen

I had an 05 1200C and it had the bigger tank. I don't know....that price doesn't sound so bad to me. BUY IT! If she loves it you'll end up buying it eventually!

I think that's about $600 off of a new one. You gotta think..."Why would someone take a bath on trading in a bike with 750 miles on it?"

for 06 when new figure there was a setup fee plus the freight and tax.so if 8950 is THE OUT DOOR price I am guessing youd be saving around 1700 dollors from when it was new .750 miles for 1700 dollors dont sound to bad but maybe theyd shave another few hundred off of it?

Yup, the '05 and up Customs have the larger tank, and that is a good price on a 1200 custom with only 750 miles (IMO). All broke in and ready for the stage 1, heck, it even has the warranty. Go on, get it!
