I have the Chippewa engineer boots, and they're my favorite pair. After they break in they are very comfortable..

Not many of Carolina boots are made in the US anymore. I use to wear them when they were made in Morganton NC had a buddy who worked there and he always got mine for me right off the line but they shut down that plant and moved that plant overseas I got one last pair that was made over seas and they didn't fit at all. And I am a solid size 13.

To the OP I hope you were able to decide on a pair of boots.

I do have the Double H boot. Cant compare them to anything else, but I will say for the money there a perfect boot for me. Easy on and easy to pull your foot out. Had them for a couple years now and all is well. I have no complaints about this boot

I wore Red Wings for years. Most comfortable footwear for me. My feet have always hurt. Even missed work occasionally because of aching feet. I bought a new pair seven yrs ago and immediately started with foot pain again. Figured it was just a break in thing. After a couple weeks my feet were killing me again. It was then I noticed the ''Made in China'' tag inside the boot. Put my old boots on and all was well. I gave the new ones to my SIL and he wears them occasionally. After an internet search I ordered a pair of Wesco Boots for the wife and myself. For me the issue is comfort. Price is always an issue but constant foot pain is too. I rode down to Ft Lauderdale to have my feet measured for the custom made Wesco boots. The measuring process is a little complicated and well worth the $100 charge. Especially since it was free. They were running a special that month. My boots should be here in the next two weeks or so. I am not wealthy by any means but if these boots last 10+ years $50 or so a year isn't that bad. Also read the company history and check out the guarantee. It cost more to buy American but as many can attest, in most cases the quality is worth it.

I have Chippewas and Wesco. The Wesco boot runs around 599.00 but worth every penny. The Chipp boots are almost just as good. The only thing I do to them is have Lug Vibram soles put on them. I am very hard on my foot wear, I ride full time my bike is my primary transportation. The Chippewas stand up and last. I still have a pair I bought in 06, Aside from being resoled one time they are in great shape. I highly recommend them, of course if you have the money nothing beats the WESCO BOSS boot. Mine are over 10 years old and still have ten to go.

The last three pair I've had have been Carolinas (junk, my pair anyway), and Double H (cowboy - good boot, wore them out), and now Justins.

These Justins are best fitting and most comfortable boot (for the common man) I could find. I love 'em....

I wear them a lot, it's my most used footwear, and they still look and feel great.

I didn't want to go with the western look nor the work boot look, I settled on a pair of HD Condor boots which I think are made by Wolverine?? They are a pretty sweet boot, I have a narrow foot and they fit me perfect!!
